Living Water Village Home of Hope and Healing will be open to persons with a variety of disabilities between the age of 18 and 55. We aim to holistically evaluate and identity the needs of our residents and will offer individualized support and services related to each persons unique abilities.
We will actively participate in the provision of services with the innovative development of (1) various residential programmes, (2) rehabilitation, therapy and vocational training, (3) psycho-social support and (4) employment support.
SERVICES AND PROGRAMMES
By consulting with disabled individuals and their families, we aim to improve access and inclusion to services by sharing our findings with the Governor of Otjozondjupa and other key decision makers.
Consultation and representation
Facilitate psycho/social support services aimed at enabling persons with disabilities to live independently in their own rooms/flats, both locally and regionally.
A kiosk on the premises will provide for all residents’ urgent and daily needs.
We will also operate a shop on the premises as well as in Okahandja, selling handmade food products, wood- and steelwork products, arts and craft products, flowers and vegetable seedlings and young fruit trees.
ADVICE AND INFORMATION
We plan and aim to produce and circulate regular newsletters to parents, businesses, organizations and donors.
We will continue to build a social media presence using a range of different platforms including radio stations, newspapers, Facebook and YouTube.
